Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, navigating a difficult relationship, or carrying something you've never spoken aloud, you don't have to face it alone.
Asking for help is one of the most courageous things a person can do. I'm here when you're ready.
I am a warm and experienced Integrative Counsellor based in private practice at the Turner Centre, Colchester. I am an accredited member of the BACP (membership number 375873), a status that goes beyond standard membership and reflects a verified level of training, client experience, and ongoing professional development. You can verify my membership at bacp.co.uk.
Working with clients since 2017, I work with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I believe that every person is unique, and I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs and circumstances.
Before training as a counsellor, I built a varied career spanning early childhood development and over 16 years in the banking sector, where I supported people through stress and the very human challenges of professional life. This breadth of experience means I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to my practice.
Clients often find it easy to open up to me, knowing I understand that life can be complicated, and that asking for help takes courage.
I work with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Whatever you're going through, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to explore it at your own pace.
From everyday worry to more persistent anxiety, we can work together to understand its roots and develop ways to manage it.
Feeling low, flat or disconnected from life. I offer a compassionate space to explore what's beneath the surface and find a way forward.
When work or life demands have left you exhausted and depleted, counselling can help you reconnect with yourself and rebuild your energy.
Whether romantic, family, or friendships, relationship struggles can be deeply painful. I can help you navigate and make sense of them.
Grief takes many forms. I offer a gentle, unhurried space to process loss and find your way through it in your own time.
Early experiences shape who we become. I have a particular interest in working with attachment difficulties and childhood trauma.
I have experience supporting parents of neurodiverse children, as well as individuals navigating the challenges of neurodiversity themselves.
Divorce, career change, parenthood and other major life transitions can be unsettling. Counselling can help you find your footing again.
When the pressures of daily life feel unmanageable, I can help you understand your stress responses and develop healthier coping strategies.
I believe access to good counselling should be as straightforward as possible. Sessions are available both in person at the Turner Centre in Colchester and online, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
I offer a free 15-minute phone call before we begin, so you can get a sense of whether working together feels right, with no pressure or obligation.
Reaching out is often the hardest part. Whether you have questions or you're ready to book, I'd love to hear from you. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours.

My practice is underpinned by the BACP Ethical Framework, which means you can expect the highest standards of professional conduct, care and confidentiality at all times.
Everything discussed in our sessions remains strictly confidential. The only exceptions are if I have serious concerns about your safety or the safety of others, in which case I may need to seek guidance from my supervisor or relevant authorities. This will always be discussed with you wherever possible.
In line with BACP requirements, I work under regular clinical supervision. This ensures my practice remains safe, ethical and of the highest quality. Supervision is a confidential process and your identity is always protected.
Before we begin working together, I provide a clear client agreement setting out how we will work, what you can expect from me, and what I ask of you. This ensures we start our work together with clarity, openness and mutual respect.
I welcome clients of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, orientations and abilities. My practice is inclusive and non-judgemental, and I am committed to providing a safe and respectful space for every individual I work with.
I hold full professional indemnity insurance, giving you confidence that my practice meets all required professional standards and that you are fully protected when working with me.
Your experience matters to me. If you have any concerns about our work together, I encourage you to raise them with me directly in the first instance. If you feel unable to do so, you can contact the BACP directly. Full details of the complaints process can be found at bacp.co.uk.
